About Us and Our Beautiful Chalet in Murau
Welcome to our home in Murau! When we were living in Vienna, Murau was our favorite retreat in both summer and winter. In 2021, when the opportunity arose to acquire this chalet, we acted swiftly.
Murau has much to offer in every season and has yet to be overrun by tourists, allowing you to experience the authentic Styrian charm. For winter sports enthusiasts, the Kreischberg ski area (42 kilometers of slopes / 2100 meters) is just a 5-minute drive away. This family-friendly ski area is highly versatile, catering to both experienced and novice winter sports enthusiasts. There are also numerous other ski areas nearby, including Obertauern, Turracher Höhe, Katschberg, and Lachtal.
Murau is also an excellent destination in the summer. The chalet, situated on the southern side, provides sun enthusiasts with the perfect opportunity to bask in its warmth. Active vacationers can indulge in beautiful bike rides (suitable for mountain bikers as well), hiking trails, mountain climbs, or rafting on the River Mur. Less risky sports are also available, with a tennis court next to the park and a stunning 18-hole golf course just 5 km away. In short, you will never be bored here.
The chalet accommodates nine people (eight adults) with four bedrooms, two of which are connected. There are two bathrooms with wellness showers, and one bathroom is equipped with a jacuzzi and infrared sauna cabin. The kitchen is fully equipped, and from the terrace, you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view. Two parking spaces are available at the house.
The rental price includes gas, electricity, water, and WiFi.
The following must be paid separately on-site:
- Final cleaning: €195
- Whirlpool service: €50
- Bed linen/towels: €15 per person
- Tourist tax: €2.50 per person per night (for ages 15 and above)
- Deposit (will be refunded after check-out)
Optional services include a bakery service with daily fresh bread delivery and a baby bed for €15 per stay.
Check-in is available daily from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We look forward to welcoming you to our chalet in Murau!
